GOLD Project©
Our GOLD Project© is an innovative intergenerational program embracing growing older with grace and dignity. The GOLD Project© is a program which seeks to enhance a sense of awareness for children about the value of growing older by creating intergenerational opportunities in the classroom. Visits to classrooms provide opportunities for our elders to share their life experiences with children, helping to bridge the gap between young and old. The GOLD Project© is a regular outing for AAP participants, and frequently day program participants go on these visits too.
The Gold Project© is a treasure trove of wonderful stories, experiences, and relationships—
it is our most effective tool in educating the community about Friendship Center's work with dependent elders and their caregivers.
The GOLD Project© is available to those who are interested in an intergenerational program
in their community.
The GOLD Project© package includes:
• A DVD
• A step-by-step instructional guidebook
• Forms & materials to adapt to your needs
• Two hours of consultation with Friendship Center's staff
