Wine Down and Big Heart Awards 2017

This casual yet festive event will feature local vintners/breweries pouring their wines and beers for tasting:

Hearty hors d’oeuvres by Spices N Rice and live music by Montecito Jazz Project will round out the event. Held al fresco in the courtyard of our lovely Center in Montecito, this casual yet festive gathering will give guests a chance to enjoy a lovely summer evening and wine down from the cares of the week. A silent auction will offer gift baskets, featuring high-quality wines and wine-related items, and live auction will be conducted by Stephen Meade of KJEE.

In addition, Friendship Center’s annual Big Heart Awards will be presented at this event. Each year, the Big Heart Awards recognize those organizations and individuals who support Friendship Center financially or through volunteer efforts.

Tickets are $75 each, and can be purchased online. Guests may also purchase tickets by sending a check to Friendship Center at the above address or calling 969-0859 with credit card information.

Friendship Center, in addition to adult day services for aging and dependent adults with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease, provides a variety of activity-based programs. Connections is for those in early stages of memory loss, and Brain Fitness for Successful Aging is a six-week series open to anyone in the community wanting to take proactive steps to keep their memory and brain functions sharp. Space is available at both Friendship Center sites, Montecito and Goleta.
