A wonderful option for those who want social and cognitive stimulation, as well as learning effective strategies to help slow down memory loss.

Fun and challenging games, puzzles, and memory strengthening exercises are offered in a friendly and stimulating environment. Other activities include support group discussions, music and light physical exercise.

Professionals conducting CONNECTIONS classes are specially trained as Early Memory Loss Facilitators by the Brookdale Foundation.

CONNECTIONS is also a great proactive cognitive-enhancing program for people who have been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), or early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

Brain Fitness for Life Seminar

Brain Fitness for Life is a  6-part seminar for every one wanting to take a proactive stance on maintaining and improving their memory and mental functioning. Participants learn how to rewire and strengthen their brains while relieving stress and inviting more vibrancy into their lives. This innovative program is on the front edge of a vital and active generation who can, for the first time, take steps to delay the onset of age-related cognitive impairments, dementia, or even Alzheimer’s.

Family Services Director, Luciana Mitzkun, facilitates this seminar which is based on world-renowned neurologist Dr. Kenneth Kosik’s research on delaying the onset of dementia. Participants will explore the six key components to brain health: diet, exercise, cognitive stimulating activities, positive social engagement, stress reduction, and sleep.
