Volunteering Opportunities
Friendship Center’s unique program for elder and dependent adults works because many people make the Center a friendly place to be. Staff and volunteers bring a genuine concern for our members.
Our volunteers are VITAL to every area of our program. We welcome volunteers of all ages to:
• Help with food preparation and kitchen cleanup at noontime. Assist staff with Greet, Meet & Eat in the mornings.
• Lead or help in directing activities such as painting, crafts, music, etc.
• Be on-call for events, special mailings, or when we just need an extra hand.
• Spend quality time with individuals: holding hands, listening, playing a game or putting together a puzzle, or sharing experiences, etc.
• Other ideas? We are always open to suggestions.
New Volunteer Opportunities
• Events - Volunteers needed to help with fundraising, events and various duties for our annual Festival of Hearts each February.
• Attention Musicians - Friendship Center is seeking musicians to play at our center for 1/2 hour or more per week. We are a very appreciative audience and a great place to practice your new material. Morning, noon, or afternoon, we welcome your talents. We enjoy all kinds of music.
