Friendship Center will be joining Hospice of Santa Barbara for the Ritual and Resilience: Building Meaning and Connection in a World Turned Upside Down Virtual Event Thursday, January 21st from 6-7 PM PDT. They will be joined by the internationally respected Buddhist teacher and visionary cofounder of the Zen Hospice Project, and founder of the Metta Institute, Katy Butler.
In this webinar, award-winning medical journalist and author Katy Butler will explore the value of rituals, share examples from her book, “The Art of Dying Well,” and offer ways to create simple homegrown rituals with special meaning for you. She will also facilitate an inspiring “virtual” ceremony to share in a feeling of community and timeless sacred connection.
